Update: Trollstigen in September 2026
From Monday, 28 September, County Road 63 (Fv. 63) over Trollstigen will be closed due to roadworks.
Updated information as of 16 September 2026:
From Monday, 28 September, County Road 63 (Fv. 63) over Trollstigen will be closed between Trollstigfoten (the start on the Åndalsnes side) in Isterdalen and Trollstigplatået (the plateau on top) from Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. The closure will last for up to four weeks.
This means it will not be possible to drive through Trollstigen during the day on weekdays. The road reopens at 6:00 pm and stays open around the clock at weekends. The rest of Fv. 63 remains open, and you can still drive to the Trollstigen plateau and the viewpoints from the Valldal side.
